Who are we? We are skilled and experienced teachers of yoga, pilates, tai chi, and other mindful movements, such as Journey Dance. The Muskegon Yoga Center was founded in 2008 when Warren Mosley revisited his hometown of Muskegon, Michigan. In search of a yoga class during his stay, he met “Beach Yoga” teacher, Barbara Badolati at Pere Marquette. In 2009 together they opened Muskegon’s first premiere Yoga Center in downtown Muskegon. Yoga teacher, Peter Violino and Pilates teacher, Shawn Martin joined them, along with GVSU intern, Lisa Ricco. Classes grew beyond capacity of the room, including classes supporting the Johnson Cancer Care Center.
During their Feng Shui consultation with Jenna Boyd, it became apparent that the Muskegon Yoga Center needed to move to a place where it would continue its mission of offering ways to greater health, peace and joy to all who enter. The Muskegon Yoga Center moved to the Seminole Building of Norton Shores in June of 2010. The center was customized specific to the needs of its mission and service to our community. We uphold integrity and high standards in the service to others. We are humbled and honored to do so.
